JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. 1. Responsible for Assembly, Labeling and Packaging of Product, i.e. door panels
  2. 2. Placing components on to machine.
  3. 3. Pack parts in proper box, cage, crates or racks.
  4. 4. Sewing using precision on industrial sewing machine.
  5. 5. Using staple gun with precision.
  6. 6. Removing parts from edge wrapper.
  7. 7. Gluing and assembling parts.
  8. 8. Hand welding.
  9. 9. Occasional light sweeping with regular broom within the work cell.
  10. 10. May rotate between cells during the shift.
  11. 11. Inspecting and Reworking assembled component.
  12. 12. Must be able and willing to work daily and weekend overtime.

Physical Requirements of Job:

Standing except during breaks.

Lifting maximum of 35 - 50 lbs.

Pull and push racks with components up to 30 feet.

Bending at the waist is occasional.

Rubber ergonomic floor mats are available.

Breaks: two 10-minute breaks; one 20-minute break. Work 2-3.5 hours between breaks.

Walking only to and from breaks and/within work cell

Internal temperature of plant varies with season –heating source/fans during cold weather; fans located at all workstations during warm weather.

Small fine motor skills utilized.

Essential Functions:

  1. 1. Remove parts from the mold – by opening a gate to remove the mold or the mold drops down onto surface
  2. 2. Trim excess flash and gates from parts – using clippers
  3. 3. Inspect parts for defects.
  4. 4. Pack/unpack parts into/from close by box or cage, by bending down into large crate to place completed piece or taking parts from containers at floor level to table height.
  5. 5. Place labels on boxes.
  6. 6. Maintain a clean working environment.
  7. 7. Place clips onto molded parts (these parts are unpacked from boxes at floor level)
  8. 8. Push filled containers on level ground to outside of work area approximately 20 feet away.
  9. 9. Adhere to applicable quality and environmental system requirements, work instructions, and procedures.
