Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Facility Helper for the 1st shift (6a-2p) at our Arlington, TX facility.

Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Facility Helper to join our team. This role requires someone who can effectively contribute to a positive work environment, perform a variety of maintenance tasks, and uphold our company’s safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include general facility maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and assisting with various projects throughout the plant. General Job Duties:

  • Follow Company policies and display conduct expected of IAC employees as described in the Work Plant Rules and Work Safety Rules.
  • Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies, and procedures of IAC to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner always and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.
  • Always maintain proper ergonomics when performing assigned tasks.
  • To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of IAC.
  • Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives, and activities.
  • Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, PA system and/or phone, business use only.
  • Work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy and CBA.
  • Perform all assigned tasks per the TPM, SOP (standard operating procedures), manufacturing alerts, safety alerts and quality alerts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Perform general facility maintenance, including repairs to fixtures, electrical systems, doors, walls, and plumbing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and operation of related systems, such as TV installation, mounting, and painting projects.
  • Clean and maintain the facility, including mopping floors, wiping equipment, emptying waste totes, trash cans, and removing debris inside and outside the building.
  • Assist with janitorial tasks, landscaping, and window cleaning.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and move racks, and stock parts in the MRO.
  • Utilize ladders, scissor lifts, and forklifts for various tasks.
  • Support maintenance tasks assigned by the supervisor, and assist the maintenance team as needed.
  • Be prepared to work weekends and lift 25 lbs or more as necessary.
