Labor Relation Specialist
Location: Monterrey North Plant
Direct reporting: Plant Human Resources Manager
Job Summary
Use skills in data collection and analysis, negotiation and policy-making, along with knowledge of labor law and collective bargaining procedures to maintain an organization’s positive relationship with its employees. Provide management with the information needed to negotiate new contracts, familiar with economic and wage data, experienced in contracts, and are often required to interpret and administer contracts with respect to employee wages, salaries, pensions, grievances, healthcare, union and management practices and other areas of contract management. Dispute resolution to reduce costs and improve efficiency, helping companies avoid expensive litigation, strikes and other business disruptions.
Activities:
- Manage Collective Contract
- Accomplishment Staff Services: Fonacot/Infonavit/Banking, Vacation, Social Security, Labor information or any other personnel services related to plant workers.
- Preventive and corrective Hourly labor conflicts among Employees, Supervisors and Union.
- Validate that the LIBRA (Internal Labor Regulation Booklet) / RIT is updated, in place and in practice.
- Provide guidance to Production Staff regarding Collective Contract and RIT (Advice and Teaching).
- Categories Management according to collective contract articles. Payroll payment under control, corrective actions. Monitoring on going labor environment.
- Make sure respectful relationship among Management, Supervision and Union is in place. Lead "escalated" problems at the plant (conflict management). Labor Legal compliance - individual and Collective.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, HR, OD, Psychology, or similar related discipline.
- Three to five years of progressive experience as Labor Relations Specialist.
- Experience coordinating all kind of events throughout the organization; perform administrative tasks in SAP.
- Availability of rotating schedules
