General description:

Manages all maintenance processes related to the plant, both in the areas of injection molding, painting, adhesive, cutting and sewing and assembly machines of the automotive industry. Develop and implement improvement projects, as well as the construction, remodeling, renovation and maintenance of facilities and production processes.

Leads the estimation of all project costs, inspect existing facilities and prepare reports on conditions, observed deficiencies, designs necessary for repairs and the estimated cost of repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all human resources of the department, as well as spare parts and repair supplies. It is responsible for generating strategies for compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance indicators of all productive maintenance processes. (Injection Molding, painting, cutting and sewing, assembly lines).
  • Responsible for generating strategies for compliance with the Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance indicators of key equipment and tools in all productive areas.
  • Responsible for generating strategies for the Process Engineering areas that allow meeting the Scrap, FTC, OEE and BTS goals of the plant.
  • Responsible for generating strategies to control, stabilize and make all plant processes efficient.
  • Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce costs and waste, control waste and reprocess data. Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
  • Provide input and direction in the sourcing, design, construction and launch of new tools, fixtures and equipment for future programs and current changes.
  • Coordinate these changes with program management, manufacturing, quality, and finance departments to ensure testing and introduction periods align with production schedule requirements or customer delivery dates.
  • Provide technical support for product development and design. Utilize technology in new and current processes and tools to meet or exceed customer specifications. Stay informed of the latest technologies in tooling.

Knowledge:

  • Injection Molding Processes (Cincinnati, KraussMaffei, Toshiba, Vandor)
  • Automated Painting and Adhesive application processes
  • Automotive assembly processes, lamination.
  • Cutting and Sewing Processes

Requirements:

  • +10 years of experience in Maintenance Management in the Metalworking Industry – Essential
  • Conversational/Technical English.
  • Mechanical, electrical, mechatronic engineering (Master's degree desirable).
  • Automotive interior manufacturing
