Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Automation Technician for 2nd shift (2p-10p) at our Arlington, TX facility.

Summary:

Perform a variety of duties to support Automation/Maintenance floor demands. Responsible for training/assisting subordinate-level Automation technicians in the repair and maintenance of automated machinery and processes.

General Job Duties:

• Foster a positive working environment and strive to meet set productivity targets and performance standards

• Maintain the maintenance work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

• Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process

• Troubleshoot non-functioning components including, but not limited to, servos, sensors, and control components

• Prioritize automation activities and adherence to automation/maintenance procedures

• Coordinate repairs and automation activities with the production and scheduling departments as necessary

• Remains active on the floor including providing any “hands-on” troubleshooting of automated production equipment

• Pass down to the next shift any open items that remain unresolved at the end of the shift.

• Complete all paperwork associated with daily tasks and activities

• Use established procedures for removing/returning spare parts

• Ensure all safety policies are strictly adhered to

• Escalate issues as defined in the plant escalation plan

• Performs other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED, 5+ years experience working in machine maintenance, skilled trades education a plus.

Physical Demands

· Must be able to stand on feet and/or sit 8-12 hours a day and lift to 40lbs on an occasional basis and 15 lbs regularly. Must be able to perform overhead work as well as work below the waist.
