Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Headliners Process Technician for 3rd shift (10p-6a) at our Arlington, TX facility.

General Job Duties:

    • Basic troubleshooting of Headliner defects (wrinkles, bubbles, delamination, cloth misalignment, etc.)

    • Basic Troubleshooting of Headliner Equipment – Forming line, Water Jet Cell, Edge fold, and Deflection tester

    • Basic Operation of Fanuc robots- sending home, resetting fault

    • Perform tool changes to Production needs

    • Work with tooling technicians for Headliner tooling issues. Perform replacement of tooling punches/anvils, and tooling adjustment for Headliner defects

    • Accurately record process parameters, maintain hourly check sheet and daily start-up sheet, and other necessary process documentation

    • Support Production in troubleshooting defects, reset/troubleshoot basic equipment issues

    • Work closely with the Maintenance and Controls team to communicate equipment issues and act as a bridge between production and maintenance to help resolve equipment issues

    • Work with the Manufacturing Engineer and Business Unit Manager in generating as well as completing action items to resolve processing/equipment issues

    • Ability to write pass downs at shift change to maintain effective communication across all 3 shifts

    • Follow quality standards for the Headliner and adhere to the scrap escalation process

    • Maintain communication with shift Production Supervisor of any quality or equipment issues

    • Perform basic TPM on tools and equipment

    • Support production to relieve Line Leads / Operators for breaks and lunches

    • Must be available to work overtime when needed

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, skilled trades education a plus

    • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
    • Ability to follow safe work procedures and wear personal protective equipment at all times as required
    • Must be certified to operate a crane/hoist
    • Ability to work with minimum to no supervision

Physical Demands
Must be able to stand on feet and/or sit 8-12 hours a day and lift to 50lbs on an occasional basis and 15 lbs regularly. Must be able to perform overhead work as well as work below the waist.
