Manages the day-to-day business of the assigned Production Unit Including:

• Establish and monitor overall plant performance and adherence to established goals, schedules and quality standards taking remedial action when required.

• Planning, staffing, training, assessing, and guiding the unit's supervisor's team leaders and production personnel.

• Compliance with State and Federal health, safety and environmental regulations and statues.

• Promoting and meeting/exceeding all applicable product quality standards throughout the production unit.

• Adhering to production schedules to meet customer's requirements.

• Assurance to follow all Company directed policies and have a broad understanding of, and compliance with, all applicable operating procedures developed under TS16949/ISO and the Warren Assembly & Sequencing (WAS).

• A thorough understanding of the Unit's material flow, BOM and raw materials particulars and their significance to product quality and a continuous commitment to JIT principles of raw materials, WIP, and finished product inventories

• Understanding the Unit's equipment and tooling operations, their ongoing TPM requirements and execution, verification of specified PM activities and responsibility to monitor effectiveness of Maintenance performance in the Unit.

• Strict regard of Company cleanliness standards throughout the Unit.

• Lead Production Unit meetings, supports and promotes continuous improvement projects and schedules and manages initiation/execution of Unit's adopted.

• Champions all Quality, Engineering, Materials and Maintenance standards and meets compliance by personnel to continually improve.

• Timely and consistent administration of the Labor Agreement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing or a management discipline or equivalent relevant experience
  • JIT headliner experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in automotive manufacturing environment
