About the Quality Engineer position

Develops and implements programs to assess and improve the quality of products, components, materials and/or operations. Creates policies and processes including standard procedures (e.g. quality audits/review, methods, process reengineering, etc.). Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. Conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. • Performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates


Quality Engineer responsibilities are:

  • Direct contact with clients to provide service and attention to quality problems and specific requests.

  • Information on the voice of the client, report, monitoring of indicators (PPM, WC, etc.) and action plans to get objectives.
    Protection of the customer and stoppage of the production line if the products do not get the requirements.Management of customer complaints: internal system registration, alert, containment, problem analysis with multidisciplinary team, implementation of permanent actions, update of Control Plan and Quality Documents

  • Audit of Control Plans, Processes, PFMEA, Pokayokes and Quality Standards.

  • Response and follow-up to complaints from internal and external clients in the QTS, SQTS systems and customer portals. Ensure quality in the Launches of New Programs: Implementation of Safe Launch Plan, approval of boundary samples.

  • Establish and give training to the personnel in charge of specifications, drawings and quality criteria.

  • Review the client systems to evaluate the level of customer satisfaction established in the score cards, keep the plant informed in said results.

  • Develop and implement control plans and inspection instruction sheets.

Quality Engineer requirements are:

  • 5+ years' experience of working on a Quality Engineer or other similar position

  • Significant experience with quality control procedures and relevant legal standards

  • Significant experience with data analysis and statistical methods

  • Excellent math skills together with close attention for detail and

  • Responsible and conscientious, with a results driven approach

  • Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills

  • Good knowledge of MS Office

  • BSc or BA degree in business administration or other relevant area; additional certification of quality control, such as ISO 9000, IATF, VDA 6.3, 6.5 , Core Tools.
