Technical Project Manager – 12-month FTC

Main purpose of the job:

The Technical Project Manager will support the Technical Director with the strategy behind key projects and work streams and their subsequent delivery. Leveraging experience in lean project management and manufacturing engineering, the Technical Project Manager will drive improvements across the business.

    Main missions and results:

    • Take control and ownership of key strategic projects and work streams; from strategic scoping to planning for delivery including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management, ensuring quality, cost and timescales are prioritised as appropriate.
    • Plan for and manage business risks, issues and dependencies to maximise likelihood of business success, escalating upwards where necessary.
    • Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management.
    • Provide a structured approach to solving business problems using lean project management principles or similar approaches in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working.
    • Undertake and support scenario planning as required.
    • Effective stakeholder management and contracting to ensure business projects add value and are aligned to stakeholder expectations.
    • Where required support the management and delivery of business change and transition of project outputs into delivery via appropriate stakeholder engagement and communications.
    • Analysis of business data and preparation of presentation material to Senior Team.
    • Support management of resources that are required for specific projects, making sure that the right people are doing the right job at the right time, have the necessary training and skills to fulfil their role in and provide support, advice and guidance to them as necessary.
    • Regularly review lessons learnt from other projects, act on these where appropriate and share these with others to support continuous improvement.
