| MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN VAC FORMING PROCESS Develops and modifies process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements, modifications or additions to document work. Revises product requirements and product development compatibility or processing methods to determine costs and schedules. Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications. Optimize injection, foaming and other manufacturing processes. May be responsible in general of primary tooling and/or providing internal and external customers with improved quality, safety, and profitability through the initiation and coordination of documented proposals to enhance design, machinery, methods, and materials. May also be responsible for changes to appropriate controls including but not limited to: design, development and validation, secondary equipment, failure mode and effect analysis, manufacturing feasibility studies, line layout, ergonomics, time studies, environmental impact, resource allocation, operator work instructions, production trial runs, verifying Bill of Materials, and by anticipating and preventing any problems associated with product launches. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur. • Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks. • To support the company to meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of IAC. • Complete LPAs on time; weekly • Complete Safe Audit on time; weekly • Maintain proper etiquette when using company radios, PA, emails, text and phones; business use only. • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor Specific Job Duties: • Leadership Network Lead for Process • Manage functions of Regional Network Process Engineers • Develop Injection Molding training guide lines and supply methods • Support various IAC plants with injection molding trouble shooting • Support use of the STMP and related tools across all plants • Develop and implement use of SMOM tools for injection molding • Provide guidance on process tracker meetings in all plants • Review cycle times, scrap, and OEE and help with improvement when requested. Education Requirements • Bachelor Degree in a technical; or equivalent combination of education and work experience Experience Requirements • Course work relating to injection molding desired • Minimum 7 years of related experience in injection molding, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment • Must have experience processing plastics and setting tools • Through understanding of injection molding processes • Excellent computer and communication skills • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities • Ability to pay attention to detail Training Requirements • This position will be required to travel to other facilities or training locations as well as on-site training as needed. PPE Requirements • This position requires the use of eye protection and hearing protection and any PPE specific to the task being performed. Physical Demands • Must be able to stand on feet 8-12 hours a day and lift up to 75lbs on an occasional basis and 40 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to perform overhead work as well as work below the waist. |
