Main purpose of the job:

This position supports IAC’s Global Purchasing Finance team, reporting to the Director of Purchasing Finance. The Director of Purchasing Finance and his/her organization provide financial and business leadership to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and their team. In addition to owning financial reporting of actuals, forecasts, and budgets, the Director’s team is also responsible to provide financial analyses for key Supply Chain projects (cost savings projects, sourcing studies, capital spending make v buy, etc.).

Main missions and results:

  • Provide monthly forecasting and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) analysis for the Supply Chain portions of the income statement. This includes providing support to the Director of Purchasing Finance regarding insight into forecast results versus prior year, previous forecast and ongoing AOP.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including as required preparation of trial balances, completion and review of associated journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure a sound internal control environment exists.
  • Provide Rapid Ratings or equivalent reviews in order to evaluate Supply base health
  • In concert with the Accounting and Audit teams, support appropriate internal controls including SOX and other accounting policy compliance measures Global Purchasing.
  • Prepare presentations for weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews, annual budgets and business planning initiatives. Partner with Purchasing to ensure understanding of business and financial targets and performance against those targets by helping to identify/realize opportunities while managing risks.
  • Work with plant controllers to ensure local operations follow standardized procedures and produce standardized reporting of both actuals and forecasts. Responsible for the accuracy of setting annual product standards/targets.
  • Validates Supply Chain savings project plans and ensures they are properly reflected in the forecast.
  • Line manager responsibility for one direct report, to include performance and task management.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience in Automotive or Business
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent qualification as an Accountant.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot, macros).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in an international multi-site environment, managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter.
  • Involves some level of travel.
